I'm from Baton Rouge, Louisiana- It has a vibrant and dynamic rap and hip-hop scene known for its raw and authentic sound. Emerging in the 1990s, it gained prominence with artists like Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates, who paved the way for a new generation, including NBA YoungBoy and Fredo Bang. Despite limited resources, independent and underground artists thrive through local collaborations and social media promotion. The scene's resilience and authenticity reflect the community's experiences, making Baton Rouge a vital part of the Southern rap movement.
